When a Hub on a Unimog goes

This is serious damage on the mechanical as well as the Bank side.

Running it dry is normally the main culprit. But old age, neglect and abuse can be right up there.

It takes 70ml of oil.

So caveat Emptor when buying an old Unimog. This could be lurking in the caverns of old metal!

Cost of repair upwards of R25k.

That looks painfull... lubricating changing all fluids on the list of stuff to do before I take the Pinz for its first drive.
