I write this thread to determine a price range for my 1993 463 230GE double cab.
Firstly I do not want or have to sell it, on the other hand someone is on my back to buy. If I decide to let it go, it still needs to be a fair deal.
It was a 463 manual 2850 mm wheelbase station wagon, chassis extended to 3430mm, cab modified with Land Cruiser rear panel, body lift, modified VW load bed.
Body and mechanicals are in a fair condition, by far not perfect. 346000 km on the clock, engine overhaul approx. 100000 km ago.
I do not use it a lot, mostly in town, occasionally to go on a fishing trip, or farm trip.
Has anyone a price suggestion?

Because we cant buy it, your market is limited to your country obviously but the three similar 463 vintage 5 doors advertised last year in SA had an ask of 350 to 400K. One of them at least, in very clean condition.

I personally would love to own it - its a pity it is not green.

Rolf, I think it is a very difficult question to answer.
Obviously you have a price you could live with and then there is the "new owners" preparedness to pay a certain price he deems acceptable.
Problem is who is going to open their cards first. If you open up at a low or high price he might jump at the G or turn around and not even giving you an offer fearing he might upset you.
If you know him/her I think you could get to a price that suits both of you.

The double cab is something we never got here and has a certain value to probably only a few people. I think the market is very small also given it cannot be imported to SA.

I would guess in the region of high 300 to mid 400s. By no means take my word, I just like guessing.

OM 606 is not necessary, you can also look at 605 which would be more easily obtainable and also packs a punch.
