Newbie diesel engine questions.

Evening all. Got referred to the forum after l asked a question on the FB page.

I am currently busy with a G project and unfortunately l am a complete newbie on it.

The current engine it has it is just not politically correct and if l can do some convincing to the owner, l'd like to fit a diesel turbo engine to it.

Unfortunately l am completely a noob on MB engines.

Now, can you please suggest what will be decent option?

I have heard of the OM606 turbo, but apparently they are scarce. If l can get one, l will go with that.

Given the time that will be going into the project, one might aswell fit something decent underneath the hood.

Suggestions will be most appreciated.

I would start by introducing yourself and your project G in more detail. ie What model what engine, what you want to do with the G ....

Do you have a Vin No. you can share, then we cab see what G this is and what was in there. Does it still have to original gearbox?

Yes, almost sure original gearbox is still in. Will send vin shortly. Seems from the vin it was originally a Petrol vehicle. Can l somehow send you a Personal message please Alan?
