looking for a replacement 642886 motor for my g350d blutec

Recently my motor bommed out on me at 130K on the clock. The reason I gathered from the mechanic was fuel oil being mixed together. I was notified that the engine needs to be replaced. If any body has any leads the would be great. I do know that it is possible to swap it out with a different 642 motor but a few things have to be changed.

You probably had a spun main bearing that damaged the block and crank.
You can look for any 2nd hand 350 denomination engine (Block, Crank and pistons) C350, E350, S350, GL350 etc. although their numbers are different (not 886) everything from your engine will fit. I got an engine from Merbeda.

Have your injectors checked.

So ive been chatting to a few guys and it is possible to swap a few parts out. Would I use the new donor engine as the main engine and swap parts from my 642886 into it? I have found out there are quite a few changes that need to be made (oil sump etc) injectors are brand as that's what they thought the problem was but that wasn't the case. 75K on new injectors and didn't fix anything. Do you know of any guys that would take on this job? I have reached out to a few people regarding. The community is small in SA. Any other reliable sources I can keep a look out for that engine on?

I got a C350cdi engine and swapped everything over with no issues, I did recondition the 2nd hand engine as it was neglected a bit, no use skimping on that.

The sump fit onto the block with no issues.

As you can see, the oil sump are 2 parts and this will bolt onto any 642 engine

Fuel in oil (evident by rising oil level on dipstick) can be from diesel particulate filter.

Complete replacement from a rearend accident scrap GL. There were quite a few changes required to make it a perfect fit as per original G. Happy still now.
