Hi All,

Perhaps this is of value…..

We recently upgraded the standard H4 Halogen globes to LED on one of our 2011 G300 Pro's and this is our experience. Our other G has the full Zenon Light replacement.

We chose the Lumeno LED replacement globe notwithstanding that its slightly more expensive than that offered by Extreme Lights. The reason for this is because one is able to unscrew the cooling fin and there is also a screw coupling on the cable to the connector box. This meant that we didn’t have to do any alterations to the dust cover when we re-installed.

Further, we elected to access the headlights from the rear by simply removing the cover panels on the inside of the wheel arches and thereby gain direct access. Also this meant that we didn’t have to remove the light fitting to gain access and accordingly no beam adjustments were necessary.

All in all it took a total of 20 minutes for the job to be completed.

We are very pleased with the light intensity and beam coverage and probably most importantly that we aren’t being “flashed” by oncoming traffic.

Hi Guy Does the Lumeno have a fan opposed to Flexible Weave Cloth Heatsink that Extreme lights led has?

Version6 of the popular H4 LED Headlight Replacement Bulb has the following improvements:

Improved Heatsink: The new Flexible Weave Cloth Heatsink can be flexed into smaller spaces and has better heat distribution.

Light Output: 150% more Light on the road where you need it most for maximum visibility.

Regards Tony

Hi Tony,

I assume there is fan type system but can't be sure. Sorry I can't comment too much on the technical specs.

My G has the full Zenon replacement, so this was done to my fathers G300.

Can this be fitted to W460 ? Rear lamp cover is not removable as described by Guy. There is very limited space behind the ribber seal and the inside of the rear cover

Hi Riaan,

Im so glad you are, as I can't answer the questions accurately. This upgrade was done by my father who is also technically challenged. I will mail him and get more details for you guys.
