I've just bought a 2015 G350 with 120 000km.
Any issues I need to look out for?

Thanks for the info.Oh, and also do an oil change on the gearbox, diffs and Transfer Case every 60 000km's.

Hi Johan, thanks for the advice. Would you also suggest removing the Ad Blue? I've heard that this is necessary in order to run on lower quality diesel when doing trips in neighbouring countries. Not sure if this is true or not.For peace of mind have the DPF removed with accompanying programming.
You DO NOT want the over-fuel as mentioned above... Ask me!
Hi Francois, Thank you for your advice. From what I've read the replacement sump was needed on the pre 2013 models. However Ill check with MB to find out if my vehicle has the larger sump.Hello and Congratulations on your G. I really hope she brings you many many happy miles.
There was a recall on some G's of that year with a sump replacement cause it was to small. This is vin number driven I think. Information is not very available. You can see more about this on this post.

The second thing to watch out for is the DPF regen cycle. The car dose not do well as a school run car. What happens is the car keeps trying to do a regen cycle and dose not complete it. This causes over fueling and the will cause the diesel to get into the oil. This brakes down the oil and then motor is no more. I do not have proof of this last problem but only from what I have heard from other members and seen some forum posts online.
Some things to make sure is you run the correct specification oil. If you don't it can cause fouling of the DPF filter in the exhaust. This is a R52000 replacement from the last quote I saw for the 350D G.
This is very true . The dealers are sometimes not the best.Good day all, can anyone recommend a Mercedes Benz dealership in Gauteng that has the knowledge of these issues and who knows how to service g wagons properly or is there any specialist independent workshop catering for G wagons that I can take mine to to get an independent assessment of the vehicle? Sometimes the mainstream dealerships aren't that clued up on these issues.
