Looks like an interesting show.

How many vehicles in total? Are there date restrictions on vehicles to show, 1970? 1975? or just interesting vehicles allowed!

Must be quite big to bring out 3 Haflingers - most shows like that here in the UK would only get 1, maybe 2 showing up if they got any at all.

More than 3000 special interest vehicles and 15 000 plus visitors. More than 100 clubs are invited to be part of the show. Most makes are represented and there were probably about 80 Mercedes Benz vehicles on display.

Only pre-1985 vehicles but this rule is not strictly applied.

The show attracts between 2 500 and 3 000 cars depending on the weather.

It puts between 12k and 15k people through the gates in one day.

It started as a gathering of members of Pretoria Old Motor Club only 36 years ago. Over the years friends of the POMC started joining on invite.

Today more that 100 Clubs are invited to bring out their cars.

The aim still is to bring out the older vehicles. A rolling 20 years prior to the year of the event. But the Clubs have various membership rules that one can not ignore when the event is hosted.

This year saw some rare Ford Model S's Cadillacs, Buicks and a one of its kind in RSA Packard as an example. Lots of truly old cars are normally around the pits area of the track.

This is by far the biggest gathering of petrol heads and their toys in South Africa.

Next year the date is Sunday 31 July. Normally the first Sunday in August but next year that falls in a long weekend.

Hi John. Sorry to dissipoint you but no not on that scale. There might be smaller regional meetings across the country from a vehicle perspective but the MOGs are going into "hibernation" as the guys prepare and plan for their own year-end holiday trips.

November is traditionally more a wrap-up of the year... month from Club perspective.
