Hi guys,

I'm planning on joining the patrol guys on a trip to Baboons Pass in a few weeks. Didn't plan on using the G but I'm seriously considering it if my prado isn't ready in time.
Has anyone done this trip in an unmodified W460 with 32" tyres? Is it possible?

Any and all advice appreciated. Thanks

You planned to go in the Prado. I cannot imagine a place where the Prado is meant to go not reachable in a functional 460G, exception being dunes, surely no issue in baboon's pass.

Hi Rolf,

The prado has a 4" lift and 35" MT tyres whilst the G has no lift and is on 235/85/16 AT tyres hence my concern. Some of those boulders on the pass look big from what I've seen on YouTube.

Michel Zimmermann has done Baboons many times over in a SWB 240GD(IIRC) later with the same G but 300GD engine. I'm sure there might be some posts on this forum if you do a search.
