Hi all,

a newbie to this forum.

I recently bought a 2014 G500 and would like to move from 18" to 16" rims. I would like to go to 265/75/16 tyres, but I see the recommended tyres are 265/70/16. I have questions like: do I need to fit spacers, do I need a body lift, will the 265/75 tyres fit in the spare wheel cover, will the ESP still function OK ?

Any comments or do's / don'ts. pro

There is really good and different road and AT tyres in size 265/60R18. I have seen on G350BT going up to 265/65R18 (= 265/75R16) without a problem. In my view you have then enough sidewall for good sand deflation also. Just my 2 cents.......

I'm talking under correction but the 16's won't fit as the brake calipers are too large.
Maybe borrow some and test before commiting.

Welcome here. I am sure you will enjoy your 500 as they are very special G's. Congratulations!

I also remember something about 16" being too small. As per Alan's suggestion.
